Nougatine (19 pcs/100g)

The recipe has not changed since 1905: a heart of short-chain PGI Piedmont hazelnut, chopped and bound with caramelized sugar, covered in 60% pure dark chocolate. The Nougatine wrapping was an idea of Silviano Venchi, inspired by the travel and adventure stories of the writer Emilio Salgari. Salgari himself loved tasting it in the literary salons of Turin, as he recounted mysterious adventures. Each Nougatine represents a sweet story: the journey that brought together the exotic cocoa and the crunchy PGI Piedmont hazelnuts.
